    I agree with that.
Im not denying that Oscar was the draw, becuase he was.
But that said, credit goes to Floyd who in boxing terms is a popular fighter.
He deserves credit for that, and also deserves credit for his role in hyping up tghe DLH fight.

Floyd does the average of what good PPV #'s are around the 350k range, u throw a lesser known fighter in their and it dips below that, (baldomir).

The thing is pbf needed odlh, not the other way around, oscar could have fought almost anybody and pulled close to a 1mill, like with mayorga

based on pbf's last 2 performances i think if he doesnt fight a mosley, cotto, or margarito and they go ahead with a ppv ur lookin at 300-350k, the biggest right now would be mosley they could do 380-400k and in about a year if cotto keeps winning, i think a cotto pbf ppv in june would be pretty big, maybe, maybe 450k buys and and a sold out garden

and i would just like to comment on the statement said that the only reason gatti sells out ac is b/c he lives in nj. I dont think so, he built his legend there (8 consecutive sell outs), he'd sellout any boxing arena in the tri-state area, easy. with the pbf fight gatti sold out boardwalk 5 times in a row before that fight, pbf just made it happen a little bit quicker, its like the odlh fight, oscar did over a mill ppv buys before, pbf just made it a bit bigger (and hbo's documentries and the medias coverage)

You take the topic to caring about PBF to fit your negative view of him come off the biased hate and just hate PBF because you hate him.
Mosley vs old Vargas did better than better than Floyds biggest fight without a DLH

not for nothin buddy but if pbf is the biggest draw boxing has now, we r in trouble. he dosent carry the excitment that the fighters the icemen just mentioned or the charisma for that matter. he just dosent have the appeal to the casual boxing fans and that is the facts.

and take nothin away from his skill b/c i know that is what all the pbf fans r gonna whine about what i said, remember pernell whitiker wasnt a huge draw either but the man was still a great fighter, same with pbf

Most importantly this is a useless thread cause Floyd is retired. He's not making any impact on boxing anymore cause he's gone.

If he comes back it'll be because he's been offered a fight where the reward outways the risk ie Old Mosley for big money. There's noone he can't beat right now but he's too scared of losing the 0 to take the risk.

He's making an impact cuz reporters talk to him whenever they can it seems. And then they post it on websites. They ask him questions and what he thinks of certain fighters.

I agree on what you said, me hating on Floyd also brings buzz for Floyds popularity, any talk of Floyd is making his star risen but i still dont believe Floyd is big on popularity,

Mosley, Hopkins, Barrera, Morales ,Pacquiao, Gatti, and even Vargas are ahead in PPV in my opinion but he may surpass many of these guys if haters on this rascist like me still keep giving Mayweather buzz
