Dude how old is Cotto, how many years does Mayweather Jr. have in this business. You can't compare both of them, that's ******.

Cotto is only fighting top level fighters unlike mayweather...Cotto will be a Hall of Famer sometime in the future if he fights margarito than fight Cintron, and than mosley... that pretty much says it all.

225 buys isnt that bad for this fight.

But Arum should put Cotto up against the winner of Tony v Williams.

Wow, a lot of sensationalizing in this thread on both sides...I must say.

Like Borikua said, Floyd wasn't headlining PPVs when he was 26 years old...if he was then someone correct me. With Cotto's style, some solid direction in his career and good promotion, he could be a big draw when he's 30 years old. I think that is entirely conceivable.

225 buys isnt that bad for this fight.

Lets just hope that the Zab fight turned that around or else Floyd would really try to pimp him at the table

So I guess that extending his contract with Top Rank and getting a guaranteed minimum per fight of $2,000,000.00 is not good money for a 26 years old kid, is it? That's not including PPV sales, gate revenues, sopnsorship revenues, etc. For a C rated fighter it's good money I think.

Mayweather could not even sell in his hometown until 4 maybe 5 fights ago, same time frame he started headlining PPV events, and still a lot of people just buy his PPV's to see him lose cause all of his fights are worse than a soap opera at noon.
