  • Cotto-Cintron Possible, Cotto-Judah Numbers

Current WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto is slated to face his Top Rank stablemate, WBO welterweight champ Antonio Margarito, who defends his title against unbeaten Paul Williams on July 14. [details]

Joshua Clottey? Meh. If Margarito loses, why fight a guy whom Margarito beat himself? What gain is there? Williams, Cintron and of course Mosley are much better options. I think Mosley is a real possibility if Margarito loses, let's just hope there is a GBP/Top Rank truce after all.

That's funny Yoel said there was 1 million PPV buys. He was off by quite a bit.

Either way even if Margarito loses it looks like Cotto will be in some pretty good fights with either Cintron or Clottey. Clottey could present a challenge and Im suprised Cotto would take that risk. He's a fighter though so I guess it doesn't suprise me.

So all of these are possibilties if Margarito loses.

Cotto showing some balls, Margarito, Clottey, Cintron, and Mosley are all very good fighters. Cintron being the worst, I dont really want to see that.

Right now I want Cotto vs Margarito but will settle for Cotto vs Mosley should Margarito lose, i hope they could put that fight together. What i really want is for Cotto-Margarito, and then after Cotto destroys Margarito he can fight Shane Mosley.

Did they say Cotto-Margarito would be on regular HBO? Or just Cotto vs Clottey or Cintron be on HBO?

Just thought of something, Clottey and Cintron should fight each other, that wold be a hell of a fight.

I think Cintron poses a bigger challenge than Clottey does.

not bad for a regional show the majority of the buys were in New york alone! thats impressive for a regional show.

most of the ppv boxing buys come from either California or new york.

California for the pacquiao vs morales fight had the most ppv buys along with texas.

So Mayweather isn't a draw, but he did more buys with Baldomir than Cotto-Judah? Some people on this site are truly delusional...

I guess Arum feels Margarito is going to lose on July 14th if he's already thinking about other fights for Cotto. He knows Paul Williams is too much for Margarito...

You guys are missing the point. So far Cotto is nothing like Tito. He has to take these fights if he wants to make any money at all. If he fought Mathysee then he would get paid like a C rated fighter. He hasnt been nowhere near the draw that people make him out to be. Lets just hope that the Zab fight turned that around or else Floyd would really try to pimp him at the table

WOW, If Williams wins, Arum wont put Cotto against him?...I guess I saw it coming.

225,000 buys...Mayweather against Baldomir did over 415,000 Buys...
