This is shocking news. There's no way that Hatton's team has anything to do with this. Ricky and Ray don't have it in them and Dennis Hobson isn't that sort of promoter. I have never heard of anything lik this happening in British boxing, even Frank Warren didn't try to get purses withheld on the eve of the fight. But fighters in the US suffer this sort of **** all the time, two examples that spring to mind are Ray Robinson and Joe Louis.Comment

man thats so screwed up bro ......i was in shock when i read this sjit .....igive him much respect if he continues in a postive showfull fashion in the fight.....Check out this headline from fight news:
Castillo's purse to be withheld!
A Nevada Federal Judge today has granted an attachment in favor of Gary Shaw Productions and Diego Corrales’s Estate of up to $1,200,000 of any monies to be paid to Jose Luis Castillo. As a result, Castillo will receive $0 for Saturday's Ricky Hatton fight. Shaw and Corrales sued Castillo after he failed to make weight for their rubber match in June 2006. The case has not come to trial, but boxing attorney Judd Burstein was successful in having Castillo's purse held in escrow pending the resolution of the lawsuit.
This is major bull****....... if anything it should be Toprank who should be the one absorbing the blow for not allowing castillo to move up when he wanted to many years before. This makes me sick.Comment

I imagine Castillo's attorneys have already informed him how the money he will owe might be acquired. I bet JCC isn't surprised. Quitting won't do him any good. He needs to look good, win or lose, so he can get another big payday before his career comes to a close...Comment
