I highly doubt Hatton had anything to do with it.. But I agree the timing is shady.. I think they planned it this way, Maybe Shaw has something to gain if he losses?

Promoters in boxing are F'ing ruthless so it would not surprise me to find out Gary Shaw had alot to do with this.

I don't believe Hatton would have any part of this. It does not seem to fit his personal character, it would hurt his growing popularity with Mexican fans, and it will be used as the numero uno excuse for castillo if he were to lose.

I would only expect to see Hatton try to hit low, or clip castillo with his elbows if he is really worried about losing. This ****...no way.

yeah, i do too think hatton wouldn't be apart of this in any way, but you do have to think about everything possible, also it could be people around hatton. but like i said i seriously doubt it, just thinking of every angle.

to add to this though, it is going to change the betting at the sportsbooks and vegas is filled up this weekend. ******** is a huge factor in this town when it comes to fights, it draws a lot a **** ton of water................

i think he was saying at the time of the 3rd fight, so there wouldn't be a lawsuit. only thing is castillo breeched the contract and they weren't going to negotiate a second time, especially after chico got ko'd in the rematch. which was a farce by the way, shaw and chico's people shouldn't have let chico go into that fight, but that is old news.

i don't think he was trying to disrespect chico, and if he was bad karma for him in real life..................not no red bar.

I don't know man. If I were Castillo I would seriously consider sending everything to hell.

If im Castillo,

I feel some losses caused by cuts set me back big time.
I feel I got cheated from my Floyd win.
I feel I got screwed by the ref in the Corrales vs Castillo 1 fight
I feel I got screwed by top rank for letting gary shaw and corrales sue me for the third fight when top rank was the company that didnt let me move up many years even before corrales.
I miss my 250,000 dollars i got fined for that also
and Now they are holding my check and I might not get a single penny....
All of this after all the great fights I have given.

Id be pretty disillusioned with boxing.


Hell im disillusioned as fan, you imagine a guy that does this as his life.

all i got to say about this is, damn........................... that and top rank should've and should be held responsible for castillo not making weight, he is their fighter so therefore they should be making sure that he comes in shape. if an employee anywhere in any job is on the clock and goes and does something wrong the company is responsible for the employee's actions, the same should apply in boxing. castillo working out for a fight promoted by toprank and going to the weigh in, is being on the clock, toprank should take some responsibility................................

Im a big diego fan but I dont think he owes diego anything diego should have took the fight anyway the first time it happen diego weighed 2 pounds more on fight night. And did the same thing to casamayor in there third fight but casamayor still took the fight.
