How was he past his prime?!?! Explain that please, in his first fight, Duran was undefeated, and even after the second fight which he lost, he fought like 50 fights more. so i don't consider him past his prime, and like I said, he was 7-10 pounds heavier than his natural weight, stop making excuses.

Duran was smaller, older when he moved up and arguably did more impressively

Iran Barkley is considered one of James Toney's top wins. Duran, a lightweight, fought the prime version and knocked him onm his ass. Better than anything Leonard did in some respects.

Forget the meaninglessness of their second fight, Duran arguably achieved more even after that, which was very late in the career of a lightweight.

If Mayweather were to physically beat up (and not just outbox, which is already a stretch) the winner of Pavlik-Taylor, he would be in Duran's league

First, get your facts straight. Wiki or boxrec could help. If you still don't get it then at least you'll be in a better position to have the weakness of your reasoning explained.

This makes absolutely no sense. Taken at face value, you seem to be saying that one must have a "mental disorder" to overcome a bigger foe, which - again - makes no sense! Care to explain?

Not yet, I don't think. Give him another two years.

When they fought for real Duran beat his ass, and that wasn't Duran in his prime, even though it's amazing how long he remained an elite level fighter in so many weight classes. His first fight was in 72 or 68 but anyway it was above lightweight.

Hmm. Lets see... Well, Leonard did win the trilogy; make of that what you will, but the argument could be made that even in victory for the first fight, Duran was past his prime, which transpired during his tenure in the lightweight division. Duran went on to capture two more improbable titles way past his prime.
