Overall Duran..since he started at lightweight. But as a middle Sugar Ray..but like I said overall Duran, he proved he can be dominant in several weightclasses.

Stole my thunder LOL! I was going to say what weight was he thinking?
Leonard didn't fight at Lightweight but Duran was a brutal puncher and really the best Lightweight ever. At welter Leonard was better. Apples and oranges in a sense. If you want p4p, then you have to go with Duran.

            Unrelated to his beating Barkley.

He wanted to fight everyone, always. He just loved to get in a scrap. It's easier for me to understand the mentality of a Leonard, Jones or Mayweather, who are motivated by the win and what the win brings in term of money, legacy, fame ,rather than Duran who seems like he would be fighting for free and without anyone seeing him anyway.

Let's put it this way: No sane person has balls that big.

I rank Duran higher all-time, mainly due to his stay at lightweight. All those other fights with the fab 4 came at least 2 divisions above his peak weight and after he established himself as the fighter of the 70s and probably the greatest lightweight ever.

I prefer watching Leonard though. Duran was such a good in-fighter that guys held him too much, and it made for some very ugly fights.

Two of the greatest EVER. But you gotta go with Roberto Duran. The longevity speaks tons, started a Feather Weight, boxed well into his late 40's close to 50 years old.

They do when they're over 40 years old and so far past their prime it's only a distant memory. I could just as easily say: An ATG doesn't get knocked the **** out by featherfisted Hector Camacho. You clearly (and rightfully) aren't holding that against Leonard so why are holding those other fights against Duran?

As far as I'm concerned the two of them are 1 and 1. The third fight was a throw-away fight that should have titled "No Mas.....Please".

Actually almost every all time great loses to a bum at some point. Ali lost to Trevor Berbick (who was a champion, but not a good one... he won it in the era where everyone ****ing ****** in the division except for Tyson and Holmes, and he didn't beat either of them, he won a belt from Pinklon Thomas [who?]). JCC lost to Willy Wise. Sugar Ray Robinson lost to a guy named Memo Ayon who was 12-4... everyone has bad days. A few losses (especially from a guy who fought until he was 50) shouldn't take away ATG status.
