Very true. Katz coined that phrase when he was working for the NY Daily News. He also predicted Holyfield-Tyson II would end up in an early technical draw or something like that. I haven't always agreed with him but he's always been a solid read and, more than anyone, the one writer I grew up with.One and the same. He created the whole "chicken" de la hoya nickname. It's not slander, it's an opinion. And, at the time it was true, De La Hoya was unwilling to fight anyone other than an old Chavez. After there were many who saw Oscar losing to bothe Whitaker and Quartey, De La Hoya avoids rematches with both to fight Chavez a second time because he felt Chavez "did not show him enough respect after the first fight"Comment

I thought it was Jack Newfield who wrote it for The Post in which he quoted Teddy Atlas prophesying that if things weren't going his way, he would foul to get himself disqualified.Very true. I don't think Katz was that accurate but he distinctly remember him picking a technical draw or DQ early.Comment
