Most considered him about the best in the world after the devastating destruction of Sharmba

Has Floyd Mayweather ever defeated anyone rated at the time in the top 5 p4p?
Top 5 P4P while Mayweather was at 130: No one.

Top 5 P4P while Mayweather was at 135: No one.

Top 5 P4P while Mayweather was at 140: Tszyu (injured the entire time Mayweather was in the division, then fought his mandatories Mitchell and Hatton when he returned from injury. Mayweather never had a chance to fight him since he lost to Hatton.)

Honorable Mention: Hatton (Hatton was considered top 10 P4P after beating Tszyu, but he flat out ducked Mayweather.)

Top 5 P4P while Mayweather was at 147: No one.

Top 5 P4P currently at 154: No one.

            End of thread...

Yeah, but not his fault. He called out Mosley when he was P4P and Mosley didn't want the fight. He asked Hatton for a fight and he didn't want it...

No is the answer but IMPOSSIBILITY seems to be a fair defense. Hatton just happened to get LUCKY enough to be in a division with a top p4p champion who was willing to fight him on terms agreeable to both. If anybody else thinks that it is easy for any two p4p fighters to make an agreement then you are crazy. Props to Hatton for the win but no shame to Mayweather.

We dont need the reasons and the excuses $in. Every fighter has them and you widely discredit Joe Calzaghe's and Ricky Hatton and every other British fighter's reasons, so lets not bother giving PBF's excuses and reasons any more respect.

Unless of course you WANT to admit to being biased or unfair towards particular fighters.

Floyd's never fought a top 10 P4P fighter "at the time", forget top 5.
