Why Is Floyd The Blame For Money?

Lets face the facts guys, boxing is still a business. The sport is littered with guys who have gone broke and are back fighting at 45 looking pathetic. So many boxers dont have money and are in debt. You cant blame Floyd for being smart and wanting money. Every single boxer in the game wants money wether you want to believe it or not. Why do you think guys like Hatton and so many others are still chasing a Oscar fight. Floyd is not going to retire broke and he wants to have money for him and his family to live healthy forever. You can be a MC Hammer real quick. You think he's dumb like Pac and lets people pimp him? Pac was winning big fights and didnt have hardly anything to show for it. Is that great just because he fought tough guys? No, he wants his damn money and so do the other guys.

Now, the #1 criticism I hear about Floyd is that he's all about the money and he should be worried about making the big fights instead. My question is how come you guys always look at that on Floyd's side? Why dont any of you tell Mosley to take a pay cut to fight Floyd since he is the #1 guy in the game? If Shane wins then he gets the exposure and he can get big money for future fights and pimp the **** out of Floyd for a rematch. If these guys are so confident then how come they wont do that? Its not all about Floyd like you guys try to make it seem. These guys must dont really want the fight. Regardless of what you think of him, you cant deny that he's the #1 rated guy in the game and there is no bigger win in boxing then a win over Floyd. Am I right? If thats the case then you take the cut to get that win and you will get your reward 10x over in the end.

The same goes for Cotto and whoever. As good as Cotto or anyone is, they will always be seen as 2nd best to Floyd unless they beat him. Floyd isnt dumb. He's not going to just completely dog them at the table and treat them like there a bum but he wants the bigger piece and I say why not? Even if you dont think he deserves it, why dont these fighters still just accept it to get the fight? Just look at Floyd himself as a perfect example. He got alot of money for the Oscar fight but he still got alot less then he wanted and he let Oscar have all the advantages in setting the fight. Floyd stood up like a man and took the Loss so he could get that fight and the win. He knew he would win and now is getting his reward. Those other guys should do the same thing to Floyd. Or do they not think they can really win? You know for a fact that if any of them beat Floyd then Floyd will want a rematch. We all know that even if Floyd loses, he's still not going to be completely crushed and it will be close enough for a rematch to be possible. Floyd may even try to say he really won. Floyd will not want to accept that loss and now you have all the chips.

    PART 2

You can pimp Floyd because you know he doesnt want to go out like that and you can say that Ill give you a rematch but only for the same numbers in reverse. What choice does he have? If he says no then he'll just have to accept that L and retire as a chump because you know the fans & media will rip him apart and tear down everything he has done. His legacy will be shattered. Thats another reason why Floyd wants so much money. There is no one in the game that has a much to lose as him. Its not even close. You know that the people will rip him if he loses and his legacy will be crushed because everyone hates him. Even he has said that he's not going to fight forever because its to the point where people are just waiting for him to lose so they can rip him. He said he wont stay around for his skills to diminish, then lose, and everyone says "I told you so". He wont give you the satisfaction. He has way more then anyone to lose so he should get a good share and the guys should accept it if they really want the fight.

The bottom line is Floyd is the #1 guy. You guys might say that he doesnt sell like Oscar but who cares? You guys are the one that says that all that really counts is what you do in the ring and Floyd is rated #1 at that. If thats the case then the other guys should be doing anything they can to get a fight with him if they want to go down in history. You guys always say that about Floyd but its backwards. E****ally guys like Cotto & Hatton. There young. They can have a million fights after the Floyd fight. A win over him makes them mega stars and they will get huge money after that and can set there own demands on anyone after that win. Who else can say they got a win over Floyd? That would be super impressive and they will be set for the rest of there careers.

I don't mind fighters earning as much money as they can, but when they talk about legacy, greatest of all time bull**** thats when it annoys. Next week its all about the money, when yesterday it was about becoming the GOAT.

Mayweather is a little different. He changes his motivations depending on whether or not he wants to fight a particular individual.

Well, I guess every other fighter is motivated just by money and not legacy since they ask for truckloads of cash to fight the man. Why won't guys like Mosley, Hatton, Cotto, etc. take short money to fight Mayweather?

um, maybe they dont want to be cheated... theres a difference between taking a paycut for legacy and being downright swindled...theres a reason Floyd took such a cut vs oscar...he is a non-draw, he has no fans, he is all internet hype as far as legacy goes. Skill wise he is amazing, of course.

Mosley, Hatton, Cotto have fans. Mayweather fans cant seem to cash their welfare checks in on time to watch the fights.
