You rarely see him getting caught flush, so his defence has got to be pretty good. Or, maybe all those guys he fight just don't know how to hit..?

I can see how uneducated people can find him a featherfisted wussy-version of James Toney on the ropes.
But he excells at other things as well, like the mind-game and strategy part of the game.
The way he ****s up your gameplan is brilliant, you can't deny that.
Though you might not see it that way, but the mind-game is a skill as well.

Floyd is also bloody accurate, and his timing is impeccable.
All those little things that seems so unimportant to the casual fan, separates the good from the great.

ok tell me this if Floyd is so "bloody accurate" how come when he gets in the ring with a legitamite contender he cant knock them out?

Professional boxing was created so people could see the big knockout, thats what seperates a pro from an amateur. Floyd has knocked out a bunch of nobodies sure, but when he gets into the ring with a contender he runs for his life occassionally sticking a jab, Paulie Malignaggi proved it the other night, If you have a good jab and can run like hell the judges will give you the decision cause they dont know ****

        This is nothing new.
You're right, Floyd knows that the money is where Oscar is....I can't be mad at Floyd's camp for trying to make money!!!

          The answer is money.

I don't give a **** what anyone thinks Floyd won that fight. The most I gave Oscar was 5 rounds.

Corrales, Castillo, Hernandez, and Gatti were nobodies? Just cuz Floyd doesn't use the jab doesn't mean he isn't good. Yeah Floyd runs for his life, and when Oscar caught sometimes caught him he was never hurt. Floyd has a good chin. Some would argue the goal of boxing is to hit and not get hit.

Don't be sad that Oscar lost he'll come back to fight another day.

Not all those shots landed to the gloves. Oscar fought good early on and then didn't do much late in the fight.

Maybe Floyd is a little weakling who can't punch for ****. Maybe those guys he doesn't knock out actually has a decent chin, and some skills themselfs.
Maybe Mayweather doesn't belong 3-4 weight-classes above his natural weight.
Why didn't Tyson KO Holyfield, Lewis, Tucker, Green etc? Was it because he had no punch? And because he never actually managed to connect?
                      C'mon man, be serious!
