You're right, it's false. Mayweather is the best of this generation. Oscar is 2nd...

Oscar is not the best of our generation but he is indeed a part of our generation. He is freaking 34, for goodness sakes. He's not over the damn hill.

Floyd did beat his behind. Plain and simple. Neither one of them, I would say, were tore up but Floyd's eye was MILDLY swollen. It was not that bad and it was probably dissolved by the next morning. Oscar looked way worse, and everyone here knows it.

Why would not Floyd want a rematch. It's pointless but it's another opportunity to make tons of money. Sure, a logical boxing afficinado knows the outcome of a rematch, knows it will probably be the same let down as far as excitement, and needs to be honest because EVERYONE will watch, no matter how they protest otherwise.

Oscar knows he will lose. The fact of the matter is there is money to be made and there is no way in hell Oscar "Business Man" DLH will not fight him again. He is saying it now. Bet months from now, the tune will be totally different.

He'll go and fight some busters, win and pretend this has assisted with his confidence. He'll acquiesce to Mayweather 2. They will build it up worse than the first time and the anticipation will be great for nothing and again, Floyd will win. Oscar will make almost $20M more than Floyd. They'll both be happy. Fans will be disappointed, let down. Some will hate. Some won't. This thread was pointless and repetitive because there are now like 20. We are all smart people so no way does someone not understand why they WILL fight again and they will.

If the other top boxers took the same route Floyd took (least risky), they would all look just as great. Floyd hasn't faced a legitimate/prime contender since Castillo. You probably also think that Floyd is the best 147lb'er in the world because he beat Baldomir. Am i right?

Now, I can understand why he doesn't want to do it again.
Mayweather ran his mouth so much and disrespected every little thing Oscar stands for before the fight. You could easily see that it got to him, but he couldn't do anything about it, neither at the conferences nor in the fight.

You don't want someone to jump all over your nuts a second time, when you know you can't make him pay for it.
He'll never get motivated to fight him again, at least not as much as the first time. Mayweather took everything from him the first time...

And no, I'm not saying Floyd beat him up or anything, just that he squashed De La Hoya mentally.
To me, Oscar sounded like a beaten man in the post-fight presser. He didn't care to whine about the scorecards or anything.
