Im telling you even if he beat Hatton and Cotto I wouldnt call him the greatest of all time, infact i wouldnt anyways.

Skils wise, yes floyd is near the top of that all time list, but when you take other things into consideration i cant put him over guys like Ray Leonard who were around in better era's than the one we have now, that's not mayweather's fault,

Just the way i feel right now.

Can Mayweather become the greatest fighter of all time? I dont know. My arguments for no would be revolved around him spending too much of his career fighting competition much less competetive than the other people who currently hold rights to that crown. My argument for 'maybe' would revolve around the fact that his career isnt over yet.

Ok, i think his record is full of consistently good fighters, even the fighter he took tune ups against were more than decent, if you compare mayweather's record to calzaghe's its a joke, mayweather wins by about a million miles, and people call calzaghe a great. lol.

I just think his era isnt a strong as guy like Ray Leonard's

But In terms of Skills, we have to talk Toney and Mayweather being the best of this generation,

For al you jones fans outhere, there is a difference between relying on reflexes and having boxing skills, jones had both, but he relied more on reflexes, when those reflexes went he got KTFO,

The reason that didnt happen to toney even though he fought bigger punchers than jones like sam peter is because toney is better skilled at boxing itself, same with mayweather. imo.

      So just explaining myself there.

Nobody is talking about Calzaghe though. We're talking about comparing PBF and his career thus far with the career of the other people who have a reasonable shout of being called the Greatest Of All Time.

I dont see why you felt the need to bring that up.

I brought it up in your case because i have seen you and others talk about how good calzaghe is, even though he hasnt really fought many top guys, but then you criticise floyd for the same thing,

          But yeah, back to topic,

I dont know how anyone can take these guys seriously. Some poster posted his all time Rankings and had Hatton at #1, Wlad at #3 and Sugay Ray Robinson at #5.

I criticise Calzaghe for the same thing and nobody talks about Calzaghe being anywhere near PBF on the all-time list.

He changed it to 'Jim Warrior' from what I can remember. You ought to look up a couple of his public-speeches to university students. They are crazy.

At least he kept enough of his perspective to keep the first name 'Jim' however.
