I never seriously said that Wlad has a better legacy than Roy Jones Jr now, what I meant was he has a better legacy than Jones had at age 31, and if he continues winning and unifies the heavyweight division than he will retire with a better legacy than Jones.

I know that's almost heresy to the Jones worshippers, who would like to have me burned at the stake or at least banned for saying that, but we are all entitled to our opinions, and that's mine. I have great respect for Roy Jones Jr, but my watching Wladimir Klitschko in the 1996 Olympics and later winning the WBO title in 2000 is the reason I became a serious boxing fan.
    your "opinion" is ludicrous,

at age 31 jones was 43-1-0 with 35 KOs. champion in his 3rd weight class. his only loss by dq (did you even see the fight?).
by that time he had already beaten Hopkins, Toney, McCallum and Hill

you want to talk about ko ratio? go check how many fighters bigger than him did wlad stop? not many, huh? Jones at 175 was sysematically smaller than his opponent with a few excexption (body snatcher)

You are maybe on your way to being a serious boxing fan, but not quite there yet, if you think Wlad's legacy is better than RJJ at any age

        • Comparing Wlad with Jones is like comparing a Beetle(Wlad) with a Farrari(Jones). It goes with out saying that Jones has the better legacy by far.

****** to compare really. jones is near the end and wlad is just now in his prime. compare 5 yrs from now. anyway,,,,the biggest thing most remember about roy is him being flat on his back twice with his eyes rolled in the back of his head from 2 mediocre punchers. at least in wlads case he's never been stopped on his back

              • $in, ur ****ing ******ed.

wlad is an impressive HW champion, but hes still in his prime, while jones is all but out the door.

i think jones is a protected fighter with a padded record, but his credentials cannot be denied. champion in four divisions, first MW in over 100 years to win the HW title, held about a dozen LHW titles (all but the WBO), and had a legitimate claim to undisputed LHW champion and p4p best fighter in the world.

wlad is still in his prime, his legacy is nowhere near set.

                ****ing moron.

You're right, this thread is a ridiculous one. The time to compare will be when Wlad is retired or near retirement.

"Best of All time" implies accomplishment jackass. There's a difference between being "The greatest of all time" and "the greatest pound for pound fighter of all time". Huge difference.

Do I think Sugar Ray Robinson's career was more decorated? Yes. Does that mean that I think he'd stand a chance against him in the ring? **** no.

Roy would easily toy with and then stop Sugar Ray Robinson. He never fought anyone with even a fraction of his speed, reflexes and overall athleticism. The same Roy that transcended boxing through dominance.........going defense after defense without losing a single round, Setting all compubox statistics for punching accuracy, and beating five southpaws in a row.

Name one single fighter who was more Athletic, had better reflexes, Was more dominant in his prime, and could have generally fit the bill as the prototype pound for pound fighter? You can't.
