Heavyhands, actually MT round kicks have more power than the stright push kicks. My kicks are not good enough to use in a street fight, but I'm confident some of the guys I train with could end a street fight with one good leg kick.

Domain, if I pissed you off, sorry. I just notice most of your posts on mma topics are about how mma sucks compared to boxing. I just get tired of hearing it, it's like a broken record. I also feel you don't give mma fighters the reapect they deserve as professional athletes. Did you train BJJ under Professor Caique Elias? It's just that most guys who took BJJ, especially for as long as you say you did, respect mma while you tend to downplay it.

Like me, I'm just not a basketball fan. But I respect the players as athletes and I don't go on BB forums and bash the sport.

Amateur? wtf are you talking about? When a fighter leaves the ring on a stretcher and goes straight to the nearest hospital doesn't matter if you think it's "amature" (whatever the **** you mean by that) , or not...

It is what it is...the point is , when it lands..It's WAY more powerful than anyone's best punch. I was just comparing the two. Doesn't matter how hard a prime Foreman can hit with 4 oz gloves...It still wouldn't be comparable to a Hk.

Try punching a ball to see how far it goes...then do the same experience with your kick...Basic physics.

            There's nothing "amateur" about this

high kicks should only be sedomly used .. im refering to the whip like high kick .. cro cops kicks are professional his lead leg is the whip leg and back leg the power leg.. but in the steet i would use movement and end up kicking out his knee.. cro cop just stands there

Are you still in Cali? Do they not have amateur mma fights in your state? I know in Texas they do. I agree that the mma amateur system is not near on par with boxing's amateur system, but there are amateur mma fights.

So you respect BJJ, but not mma? You do realize that mma came to be because of the early NHB fights don't you? The BJJ guys won almost everytime, so people with standup backgrounds studied BJJ and mma was born. Maurice Smith is, IMO, the the first American mma fighter.

And I'm not trying to tick you off. I'm just trying to see where you stand. I honestly have never known a guy who took BJJ and is also a boxing fan who considers mma to be 'sloppy'.

And, like you, I myself think those guys who take a little BJJ and think they are badasses are idiots.
