There's no way they'll get that kind of PPV receipts again. Those who were ****** enough to pay for it the first time will never do it again (in fact, many, I'm sure, will never buy another PPV boxing event again, after getting burned like that), and they probably wouldn't make even 1/8th of the last gross in a rematch. Neither guy would bother.

what's all of this running bull****. most of the time oscar was throwing shots, floyd was on the ropes blocking them, so how can you dumb little ****s call this running. it's called great footwork, something that you people will never know of. oscar running against tito is called running, and it's been brought up before. that's running. what floyd did, like he always does, is get himself in better position to pick his shots well. oscar doesn't want a rematch against floyd imo because he knows he can't win. he didn't almost beat floyd, nothing. there is no such thing as almost beating someone in boxing, a contact sport where two fighters fight to win. floyd controlled the pace of the fight, and cruised in the fight and he still dominated oscar. face facts people.Comment

I agree, Floyd didnt run, but he also didnt win. Lol he cruised and "dominated" with a split decision. Most of the people who gave him the fight dont know what a landed punch looks like apparently.what's all of this running bull****. most of the time oscar was throwing shots, floyd was on the ropes blocking them, so how can you dumb little ****s call this running. it's called great footwork, something that you people will never know of. oscar running against tito is called running, and it's been brought up before. that's running. what floyd did, like he always does, is get himself in better position to pick his shots well. oscar doesn't want a rematch against floyd imo because he knows he can't win. he didn't almost beat floyd, nothing. there is no such thing as almost beating someone in boxing, a contact sport where two fighters fight to win. floyd controlled the pace of the fight, and cruised in the fight and he still dominated oscar. face facts people.Comment

Stickman, are you objective?
1) The most popular fighter in the sport was facing the best fighter in the sport. In a historic event. As hardcore boxing fans, how are we "******" to pay for that? There's no way they'll get that kind of PPV receipts again. In fact, I was at a very nice and fun fight party. it was great. And the fight was good. Really, mostly the FloydHaters are upset about the entertainment value of the fight.
2) If they fought again, Floyd would win in a landslide. PBF sees that Oscar can't hurt him with that one magical, mystical left hook. And Floyd actually landed the best shots of the night, including the punch that buckled Oscar.
3) There is no way that the rematch would do 2.2 mil. But if you think that the fight would do less than 300K buys, then you are extremely biased.Comment

Brawler...do you know better than all of these guys?
I assume that those people include:
Lennox Lewis
Manny Steward
Teddy Atlas
Bert Sugar
Dan Rafael
Brian Kenny
Larry Merchant
Jim Lampley
James Brown
TWO judges
Max Kellerman
G. Leon
Etc, Etc...
Because those people said that Mayweather won the fight.Comment

I am a huge De La Hoya fan but there is no way that anyone who is objective and knows how to score boxing can honestly way he won. De La Hoya lost. Its time to us fans move on…
As for De La Hoya, I am not sure what is left for him to prove? He was a great champion and will go down as one of the all-time great boxers in this generation. As well, Golden Boy promotions seems like a hugely successful venture and he is relatively injury free. Why continue to fight at this point? In fact, who would he fight at this point? I guess Cotto would be an interesting fight, Chavez Jr. may be interesting as well but that is probably way too much of a challenge for Jr.
Again, as I fan I love to see De La Hoya fight, I'm just not sure what he wants to achieve by continuing to do so.Comment

Most of those guys were couldnt stop talking about how good floyd is to notice that Oscar was parrying all of Floyds punches, something Emmanuel Steward and the other judge did.Comment
