I believe it was filipinos in mexico...they said many of the native indians were killed or died because of disease so the spanish brang thousands of filipinos to the acapulco area thats why they have those philipines mangos and stuff.

I think the reason there aren't many Asian pro boxers is because the Asian youngster who practices boxing instead of a martial art or whatever, probably is an outcast where they're from. A guy grows up in a family of 6 with older brothers who do martial arts, guess what, the youngest is gonna do the same thing the oldest did.
