When both Hatton and Floyd were at 147, Hatton got exposed and ran back to 140. Mosley could have fought Floyd in November but he didn't want to. Floyd beat 4 fighters at 135. Floyd likes to move up in weight and accomplish beating fighters at higher weightclasses. By the time he got to 147 he was the best in the sport, and was not going to waste time on average guys like Margarito. Some fighters choose to clean out divisions(like Hopkins) while others like to move up and fight like Floyd, Oscar, etc.

Margarito is not a missed opportunity becuz Floyd made 8 mil fighting Baldomir. THE SAME AMOUNT.

GREAT fighters SHOULD fight that many times a year. ESPECIALLY when called the P4P best. And while the fighters he's fought shouldn't be disrespected, everyone should be well aware that Hatton > Gatti and Margarito > Baldomir. And while it's arguable, I'd imagine that in boxing history, Casamayor > corrales. The best should fight the best. Not the pretty good, but the VERY BEST.

He fought Baldomir for the undisputed welterweight championship of the world.. what did margarito bring to the table? mayweather made more fighting baldomir then he would have fighting margarito. maybe if margarito would have manned up and found stiffer competition in his own weight division and would have been the undisputed champ, we wouldn't be discussing this right now. Margarito has been in the welterweight division since 1996. you mean to tellm e all he could accomplish was beating andrew six head lewis and kermit cintron??? **** outta here with that.
