KT was a good fighter there's no question about that but he wasn't a great fighter. Examples of great fighters & legends are SSR, SSL, Muhammed Ali, Joe Louis & many many more.

He has a pretty good resume of good fighters. He was also known more for how he beat his opponents then the opponents himself. The lazer right hand, the left hook/uppercut...all of those punches had knockout potential. And, he was a tough, iron willed guy. All time great, easy. But not an all time legend.
Well the only thing in question is his record. 31 wins doesnt seem like all that much and I dont usually put fighters in the category I do Tzsyu cuz of that fact.

But the fact is he fought alot of dope guys early. Tough call...all timers need @ least 40-50 wins. Maybe your right.

No doubt. Who knows what would of happened too if he didn't have that year and a half long layoff with that knee injury. IF Mayweather would of had the stones to fight Kostya, I think he would of been layed on his ass.

Hmmm...dunno bout that. Vince Phillips did a good job of shutting him down and rate PBF higher than Vince. Woulda been a nice one to see though. Dam, I'm missing Tzsyu in the scene. Ahh teh old days...

@ least we have Kostya dancing w/the stars...

He unified the division and was ranked #2 p4p at the time hatton beat him, if thats not a great fighter i don't know what is, the guy is a legend. 20 World Title fights, 18 of them won, its when Kostya went against these guys, they were highly highly rated at the time, might not look so great now but they were at the time.
I DON'T KNOW....chavez had one leg in an old age home....roger mayweather was well past his time....sharmba had one good leg in the first fight, never really impressive since then, even in the second fight, far from his prime....tackie, i'll ignore that one....lol, gonzolez was on his way out....santos, hurtado, etc, never panned out to meet there hype over all, let's be honest w/ that one.....
judah was still GREEN if anything, not in his prime.....he was still a freaking kid (some ways still is, at least mentally).....some of the guys i mentioned gave him a tough time & close calls, like i said these guys were not great....
fighting guys that look to be great or good, then finding out they weren't is a different world than fighting & beating guys that PROVED to be great....
whatever.....he was a good fighter to me.....get destroyed worse than what phillips did against a true ALL TIMER.....
ps-someone mentioned hatton being dirty.....KT wasn't exactly clean in that fight eigther if u want to be honest.....in fact, i have seen him rough house/ fight a little dirty in a few fights.....never really bothered me, rough housing is part of boxing (A little Bit)

I rate Tzu at or near the top as far as jrWW's go but the fact that he never took the risk and never went to WW when that division was loaded with Quartey, Oba Carr, Tito hurts his overall

more like 4th. you forget Hopkins hadn't lost to Taylor yet, and Mayweather was a clear #2. I forget who else I had in there...might have been Tszyu if not Barrera

Tszyu was a solid, admirable fighter, but not an all time great. His body of work is pretty good with Judah obviously being his best win...a fight nobody thought he would win

yar that was me. Tzsyu had to do what he could to survive. Hatton was waaay overboard w/the dirt and Ref Dave Parris is known for being on the take. Rewatch the fight and you'll see headbutts, elbows, forearms, holding & hitting, low blows.

I mean, what didnt Hatton do in that fight? Suplex? Boston Crab? DDT? Piledriver? Come on...

the way i see peoples responses makes me think i am talking to my cousin, who likes kt....is a kt fan.....doesn't want to hear anything.....
were're all that way a little bit....
i think outside of his straight right, people are over rating his other skills, to the point where it sounds like they are talking about SRR from some of the things i read....
i always felt that if you keep him from coming forward & force him to react (NOT SET UP His RT HAND), he's very beatable & HITABLE.....like in the phillips fight & hatton fight (even first half of rd 1 in the judah fight)....
whatever, i think were're all entitled to our own opinions.....just to clear it up, i never said he stinks, just a "Good' Fighter
