Jermain Taylor vs. Kelly Pavlik on For 9/29?

It appears that WBC/WBO middleweight champion Jermain Taylor (27-0-1, 17 KOs) may actually face off with mandatory challenger Kelly Pavlik (31-0, 28 KOs) on September 29. [details]

Boy this outta be great Taylor the current Junior middleweight champ will step up to middleweight and fight an actual middleweight contender. Man I wonder how this will affect things. We all know what happens when its time for Jeanette Taylor to fight an actual middleweight (Excuses, excuses excuses, even Evelyn steward his trainer helps with the excuses it's disgusting)

Let's just hope this isn't just BS that Dibella is spitting and Taylor wants to fight Pavlik. For Taylor it's the fight he needs to get respect from the fans again. His past few performances have been lackluster and not what you would expect from the MiddleWeight champion of the world. Pavlik would bring out the side of Taylor we all want to see.

This is a matchup I eagerly anticipate. If it is really going to happen, I hope the fight is heavily advertised, because it has the potential to be hugely popular. Pavlik is very exciting to watch.

This would be exactly what he needs, unfortunately we all know that Taylor will be armed with his full bag of excuses as usual and the fight wont happen.

This is a dangerous fight for Taylor, because Pavlik is like a machine, no counterpunching affair in this one! Pavlik may just beat Taylor, if he can take Taylors' best shots....

Yeah for sure ST, Pavlik is gonna be coming forward with tons of punches. He's going to dictate the action and we'll see how Taylor responds.

he is the man if he accepts this fight.

This should be a great fight. I think Taylor wins, but finally someone will be able to bring out the brawler in Jermain Taylor. Winky Wright did it to a certain degree, but Pavliks pressure AND heavy hands make this really interesting.

Taylor was hurt by Hopkins, Wright, and Spinks rocked him didnt he? Idk if Taylor actually hurt, but his legs gave for a second. It was after a big right hand in the 7th, u guys know what im talkin about.

Anway, PAVLIK hits harder then all of them, and overwhelms guys with hundred punches a round.

If Pavlik wins this fight (which i dont think he will, taylor is to talented, but i think he COULD cause he hits hard enough) then we have a brand new superstar in boxing. This will be his coming out party if he wins
