ive seen both Calzaghe and Kessler many times (video) and i really dont
see this being a hard fight for joe. yeah he will get hit but he aint gonna
get hurt, hes way faster (some people think the opposite !!!), is a much
better fighter technically, will set a pace which kessler will struggle with
and will probably maintain it throughout the fight like he did against lacy.
i doubt his broken hand/s will stop him making a mess of kessler.

    Calzaghe UD.

Personally, i think its a harder fight than Taylor or Hopkins but still straightforward.

Kesler has been running his mouth about Joe not fighting him, now the guy accepts a fight in HIS OWN BACKYARD and he brings up an aniversary bul****? I just lost a whole lot of respect for Kesler, he should have taken the fight under any circumstances if he wanted the fight as much as he said he did.

      50th anniversary of promoting??????
You can't postpone an event, that hasn't been signed yet!

Palle's a piece of ****, can someone blow Kesslers promoters head off. It just seems to be a huge excuse to give his boxer more time to train for Calzaghe. Palle wants his fighter to fight calzaghe when Calzaghe is older... Each day that passes, each day a fighter ages. Not all fighters are like Hopkins, thats rare

This is highly disturbing. Boxing needs these type of fights between talented fighters and I resent the promoters getting in the way. I appreciate both guys but I find myself pulling for Joe more and more as these silly negotiations continue.

Palle(Kesslers moronic promoter) makes it look like Kessler never wanted Calzaghe. And that Kessler just threw Calzaghe's name out there to gain attention. And now that Calzaghe has called their bluff, they run???

If Kessler's serious about getting in the ring with Calzaghe, he's going to have to get a real promoter not Palle who is making Kessler look bad.

Yeah, he's always been a stand up guy when it came to negotiating fights.

Well, by 'always' I mean everything accept the 10 years he spent as a champ not making fights. The rest of his career, stand up guy.

lol hopkins would destroy any of these two. ok, if calzaghe was any good, wouldnt he have wins against the likes of hopkins, winky wright, jermain taylor? come on! he's 35 and getting older, he above all of us knows what he can and can't do. i don't blame him. i do blame his promoter and managers. nowadays they try to make 43-0, 32-0 records with nothing behind it. i feel sorry for some now retired "champions" who never had the fight of their lifes. why does this happen so much??? don't you see it?

When Lacy fought Calzaghe he had basically the same record that Joe did when he fought Eubanks and Eubanks was the same age as Calzaghe when he fought Lacy. My point is that Joe gets no credit for fighting Chris when he should and if Lacy would have won people like you would not have given Joe the "Not In His Prime" excuse but since he dominated a good fighter in Lacy you would rather tear Jeff down than give Joe credit. He beat a prime Sheika who was coming off of a Glen Johnson win, Byron Mitchell, prime Robin Reid (not bad), Brewer, and Lacy.

They offered Hopkins a shot without risking his belt but he did not want any and this was a bigger payday at the time but Hopkins was already being called great at MW after beating Robert Allen 3 times. Hopkins record pre-Trinidad was far more abismal than Joes yet he was getting called great and Winky was too. If Taylor can give Hopkins problems then Joe would give him a boxing lesson plus Taylor is too busy fighting JMW's but since his name is not Calzaghe I guess there is nothing wrong with that.

Joe Calzaghe is the most prominent SMW in history so just deal with it.

Well, that spells it out for us. Can't blame Calzaghe and Warren this time, but this is the only time. Kessler, get yourself a new promoter. You blew it.

                      boooooo, I don't want to see Calzaghe-Mundine.

Kessler needs to take this fight. It is the THE fight in boxing that has to be made.

It is very frustrating as a fan when you hear that these two have come to terms and then there is some ridiculous bull**** about a 50 anniversary thing. Palle, nobody gives a flying **** about your promotional company's 50th anniversary, and delaying this fight isn't going to make anybody give a ****.

Make this fight in September. Kessler was calling out Calzaghe, Calzaghe just answered, so show some balls and do this fight.
