You guys shouldn't just gloss over Mundine as having no chance. He would be a really tough opponent for Joe stylistically. He brings the complete opposite fight to the game that Lacy did.
It would be a bit silly if Warren pulled out of the negotiations this early. They both made high offers to get the fight on their home turf. So far, it looks as neither offer was for real when it got serious.
When Kessler speaks out in Danish media, and criticizes Palle for not taking the money for a fight in the UK, instead of paying everything to Calzaghe, it's pretty serious. It's the first time ever he talks about ongoing negotiations.

Kessler putting Palle under pressure to make a deal in the uk, could be what we need, if only Warren doesn't use this as a smokescreen and get away with a safe payday.
Breaking news: The lastest report is that Warren will accept the November offer for Joe to fight Mikkel. You can't blame him for balking a bit at first.
Well, Deigo Fuego was on point again.
He said he knew Joe and Warren would find some reason not to fight Kessler, and here it is.
This has nothing to do with joe and warren, it has everything to do with kessler needing a 8/9 month rest after a fight in which he barely received a scratch.
Ok so say Mundane accepts Calzaghes offer and accepts to fight in UK in September. This leaves in between 1 and 2 months for Calzaghe to train for Kessler and get to America. What if Calzaghe hurts his hand again aswell. If this goes ahead i think its a ****** idea.
If they actually have approached Mundine, it seems more likely to be a negotiation tactic to stop Kessler and his people from ****ing about. It doesnt necessariy mean that they'll go through with it. Calzaghe still wants the big American fighter, he will want the winner of Wright and Hopkins more than Kessler. If Kessler cant agree terms that goes along with Calzaghe's proposed fight with the winner of the American match, then I wouldnt be entirely surprised to see him taking on someone else. And that will be the fault of Kessler and his people.
It appears that a potential unification clash between WBO super middleweight champ Joe Calzaghe and WBA/WBC title holder Mikkel Kessler is in trouble. [details]
50th anniversary of promoting??? what the ****?? The guy is willing to go to his own back yard to face him and they want to postpon it for a ****ing aniversary?? If this is true, I won't blame Joe for telling him "**** you" and go for a different fight. Kesler has been running his mouth about Joe not fighting him, now the guy accepts a fight in HIS OWN BACKYARD and he brings up an aniversary bul****? I just lost a whole lot of respect for Kesler, he should have taken the fight under any circumstances if he wanted the fight as much as he said he did.
