Actually, I think he did it because of all the hype surrounding the fight...it was definitely an emotional situation.......at that time, on that night, in that building, the electricty for that fight was like it was for Judah-Cotto the other night.

Nice uppercut there and nice combo. You done the right thing when he hit you after the bell, some fighters will have retaliated and lost control

To be totally honest.... as soon as he hit me and I looked back at him...I thought to myself how I was sure I was going to wear him down and stop him, those were my exact thoughts, and I didnt want to waste time arguing with him. (Look what that got me LOL)

Great vid Ice Man. He Ice what happened to Andrew Maynard? I know not too many people on the forum remember who he was but he was a solid young fighter that had a promising future. The 2 fights that stand out to me when I saw him beat Mike "Scrap Iron" Sedillo & his loss to Bobby Cycz. I thought he was pushed into that fight to young in his career & might not have been ready for that fight.

Iceman--I just wanted to say that it was a pleasure meeting you on Saturday right before the Cotto-Judah fight. Good luck with the kid that you're training and I'll definitely be picking up that book. Just in case...I threw a pic with you outside the garden.

Thats right, Ray was talkin with McClellan while you were giving it to roy in a heated session

They should be having you on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights often if not permanently as analyst or commentator in the studio or at ringside, others aren't as articulate about whats going on from the Boxer's point of view

I see. The atmosphere, the pride and emotion got to him eh, BTW that was a real sharp uppercut there at the end

My man Andrew.....We go way back. I still speak to him pretty often. He's doing well enough, lives in Texas now and is running an amateur program. GREAT guy, one of my best friends in the game and when we were amateurs, before I got to the top levels, when he was the MAN in US Amateur boxing, he really took me under his wing. I never forgot that about him.
