Hatton stepped back down a weight because he can make 140 with no problems. He doesnt struggle to make the weight. He was only at 147 for the sake of it. I am of the belief that if he didnt eat as much as he does and binge he could make 135.

How does this address the question?

I thought he wanted top competition. Are the better more lucrative fights at 147-160?

Sorry, how does a guy who admitted he weighs around 160-170 on the johnathan Ross show have difficulty making 147 pounds?

Yeah, that makes sense, so lets work this out, hatton weighs up to 180 pounds outside the ring, yet he claims he feel better having to drain himself down to 140 pounds rather than fight at 147?

              That makes sense

You know i think Hatton sometimes exagerates his weight a bit for a laugh. Ricky fatton and all that stuff he comes out with. He gets down to 10stone no probs though from all that i have heard even though he is fat bastard when he hasnt a fight to train for.
In the collazo pics he actually looks a bit swollen and fat. Whereas at 140 he looks mean.

                  it makes perfect sense Einstein.

You see when a boxer fights, he will have a body fat percentage of around 8-10%.

If that boxer puts on 30lbs in between fights, they need to lose that 30lbs to still have the same bodyfat %.

You are saying Hatton should simply not lose the last 7 lbs to make himself dead on 147?

Its not about the weight at which he feels most comfortable though is it? Its about the weight division that suits him best at 140 he can out muscle his opponents and thats the way he's always fought when he stepped up this was not the case and he's not used to that. This makes any fight at 147 a much tougher nights work which is why he'll only step up for a really big fight i.e Mayweather.

                      These statements are false.
