thompson is the best of the americans, hed work over chambers who is just too undersized but probably the most skilled of the bunch. hes not young but he hasnt been fighting long and should still have aquite a few good years in him

The Americans are obviously at their lowest point ever right now. I mean if there was a decent American heavyweight, he'd be holding one of the four belts by now. I mean just look at who the champions are. Everybody who holds a belt is just waiting to be knocked off. No one knows anything about two of the champs, and the other two are knockout victims just waiting to get bombed again.

But if they really are as bad as you say, don't you think that some American boxer would take advantage of the situation by now? C'mon, there's many thousands of young American boxers in the big cities in America...isn't there at least one good enough to beat these titleholders? What is wrong?

If you're right about Chagaev, Ibragimov, Maskaev and Klitschko being so bad, then all those thousands of American boxers must really suck.

But, I don't think they're really so bad! I think no American has a title because those Eastern guys are actually very good.

Sam Peter can easily beat any of the beltholders except for Klitschko.
