This is great news but I don't understand all the praise for Calzaghe actually going to Denmark.....whoopty doo it;s like going from Florida to Texas......It's not like he is leaving Europe finally or anything.I think this should be a great fight tho.

It's abit different from going from Florida to Texas lol. All of continental Europe is very different to each other and Britains totally different again. A home country decision wether its deserved or not is always a possiblity when fighting in someones back yard in europe so Calzaghe will have to go all out and pressure him from the start.
Calzaghe should beat Kessler I think he'll stop him by round 9 then hopefully he'll get to fight the winner of Hopkins vs Wright.

In that case, I dont know why more people didnt got to Germany to fight Sven Ottke. It'd be like fighting in front of your local fans...surely?

I said, quite clearly, that defeating Kessler, defeating the winner of Hopkins and Wright and earning a victory over Taylor (be it a moral one from Taylor refusing to step up to the plate and fight Calzaghe, or a physical one...by him beating Taylor) would make him IN MY OPINION worthy of being considered a 'truly great fighter'. Again, you keep dis*****g this, but offering absolutely NOTHING as a reason for dis*****g

Calzaghe is a world class fighter, beating Hopkins/Wright solidfies that, in my opinion it doesnt make him a great fighter, in my opinion, even if taylor ducks him, which is such a ******ed arguement when you consider the fighters that taylor has fought. lol. but lets run with it for a laugh, here's why it doesnt make him a true great,

Simply because of the following

1) It means he would have only beaten one fighter ranked the p4p list, which is hopkins or wright, no Lacy was not a p4p as far as i know, eubanks i dont think so either but you get the picture.

2) It means he spent his whole carrer in one of the worst divisions in modern boxing, super middleweights is a shocking divison compared to 147,130,140, even 160., unless you wanna tell me these great prime fighters that were at 168 when JC was around, Ottke did duck him, no ottke was never a great.

3) It would mean in a carrer spanning something like 10 years, he has had 2 carrer defining fights. compare that to someone like De La Hoya, Mayweather, Ray Leonard and some of the other true greats, how many carrer defining fights have they had? Alot. lol.

Those are reasons, would you like to dispute those?
