Although im not going to go as far as to say that he was drugged, to be fair, Antionio Tarver did NOT look like Antionio Tarver.
As much as I dislike him, it seemed like something was wrong with him that night.

This is a 50/50 thing for me. There is no way Tarver was drugged but I still disagree with just about everyone on here. There was something completely wrong with him in that fight. Hopkins is a great fighter but there is no way in hell he could dominate Tarver. He dominated him because the weight loss was too much and it ruined him. However, Im not upset because he benefited from the same thing happening to RJ. He was dead in that Hopkins fight just like RJ was dead in the Tarver fight. I dont understand how all you guys can watch a fight and see that its not the same guy at all. Tarver had nothing. The weight loss killed RJ and it killed Tarver.

Sorry no excuses. He woulda got dominated either way. No hate for Tarver but the only reason he is relevant is because he knocked Roy out.

Flat out Hopkins was and always will be the better and most importantly the smarter fighter. Tartver at his best still would have lost.

Wrong. Rjj lost 25/lbs of MUSCLE weight and Tarver was losing FAT weight. Totally different....losing muscle weight fast taxes your nervous system...fat dont.

Tarver got dominated and exposed for the one punch wonder he was/is. BHops slick edge was too much for him and thats why he was off....cuz Hops was on.

This is really shameful. I can't believe Tarver would sink to this level for an excuse. Losing to a truly great middleweight like Hopkins is nothing to be ashamed of. Even more so when the fighter is working on a movie like Tarver was for Rocky Balboa.

I want to see a rematch between these two just so Bernard can steal Tarvers best line ever, "you got any excuses tonight Antonio???"
