I can't believe that crap! What a loser. Can't own up to the fact that he lost. "I was drugged, I was drugged!" Grrrr!!! Sure fighters make excuses when things don't go how they expected, but damn, most of them don't accuse the other corner of drugging them. That is the only way I can see him saying he must have been drugged. What a bunch of bull!

      Thats not what happened.
A reporter specifically asked him if he had been drugged, and Tarver said it was a possibility and he wish he had known for sure becuase he didnt feel or look himself that night.

I wish I had seen the interview. I will have to look for it when I get home. youtube and similar sites are blocked at my job It just seems that saying "it was possible" is the same as an accusation in this instance. Why the hell would a reporter ask some dumb crap like that?(No you don't have to tell me they are bloodthirsty harpies, I know that one already.)

Wrong. Rjj lost 25/lbs of MUSCLE weight and Tarver was losing FAT weight. Totally different...
Tarver was losing muscle weight that he had put on for the role of Mason Dixon.

Back in the old days, a loss was a loss. There were no excuses like this.
That's not true. Dempsey was accused of wearing loaded gloves in his fight with Jess Willard, there were hints that Joe Louis had been drugged in his first fight with Max Schmeling, Schmeling complained that Louis beat him in the second fight due to an illegal kidney punch, there has always been excuses.

how did tarver lose 25lbs of muscle for Rocky 6?

It is impossible to put on 25lbs of muscle in anything less than 18 or so months, and without a huge amount of steroids and HGH i would say its near impossible for a boxer to achieve; since their training does not allow sufficient recuperation between workouts to actually allow muscle tissu eto grow as much as a bodybuilder.

I never said 25 lbs. I said he had to put on muscle for Rocky and then he had to lose it again.

Tarver's a funny guy. He couldn't use the weight as an excuse because it would take away from his victories over Roy. So it seems when the opportunity came up for another excuse he jumped on it. The simple fact is that Tarver received an old fashioned ass whoopin' & from the better fighter.
