How can there still be someone out there that even CONSIDERS picking Ricky against Floyd. Hatton would get bitched worse than when Floyd fought Sosa!

The difference between Floyd now vs. when he fought Chavez and Castillo is that he'll tie an opponent up when he's against the ropes more often now. He's gotten better and better throughout his career at handling pressure fighters and Hatton certainly wouldn't be the best he's fought.

            Are you guys serious?

Floyd is in his 5TH weight division.

He has moved 24 pounds up in weight, and is still fighting people that outweigh him by 20+ pounds, yet you're criticizing him for not standing "toe-to-toe"?

Guys just use your brain for one second, he's fighting people that weigh 40+ pounds heavier than the people he fought at Super Feather. It isn't that hard of a concept to understand.

I don't know if I would call that heart. I would call that mental toughness and focus. Floyd's focus down the stretch of fights is unbelievable...it was as evident as it has ever been in the De La Hoya fight. Oscar was giving him a rough time throughout the first 8 rounds...I had it even. Oscar was doing the whole bully thing, using his strength and smarts to get some rounds off Floyd. Those last 4 rounds were a testament to Floyd's greatness though. He stayed composed, he stuck with his game plan, and he spoon fed Oscar that right hand in the championship rounds.

That's not heart though. Once Floyd gets old and his reflexes go, we would see if he has any heart. Heart is getting your ass busted and persevering through adversity. Heart is what Arturo Gatti has shown us in so many of his comeback wins. Heart is what Miguel Cotto showed in the Ricardo Torres fight. Heart is what Archie Moore showed against Yvon Durelle in '58, or what Diego Corrales showed against Castillo in 2005.

Very good fight, but Floyd obviously the bigger & much much more skilled fighter in that one.

Mayweather showed a lot of good stuff, as he did in a number of fights at 130, 135, but I'd give Chavez the prize for heart there.

Floyd wouldn't have gone as far as he did if not for him having a huge heart. Good stoppage by the corner, nothing highly visible but really, Chavez gave it his best but he wasn't going to win that fight.

Gringo nailed it. Heart is what we recently saw from Pantera as he was getting his ass handed to him. Floyd is an awesome fighter and should drop back down to at least 147 and show some more killer instinct and wear his heart on his sleeve a bit more instead of flying around the ring in circles at 15 mph, but much respect to Mr Mayweather's skills.

His corner knows that PBF is ahead in points, though they know that CHAVEZ will not be KOed by slaps in the face, still this will accumulate in points. They need to stop the fight coz Chavez needs a KO to win, and he do not have a KO punch like PAC!
