These idiots just don't realize how good Chavez was. He was an excellent volume pressure fighter with an incredible chin. He put his punches together very smooth, accurate and had some decent speed. Not to mention Chavez was a hard hitting 130lber... Just ask Leavander Johnson.
He's beaten Carlos Hernandez, Gerena, Singwancha and at age 32 he gave Morales a very very tough fight.Last edited by deliveryman; 05-30-2007, 08:19 PM.Comment

Jesus Chavez is a tough little bastard no doubt. I thought he would have beaten Barrera (in a potential matchup) because he's an effective activity guy who will stay on top of you if he gets momentum. A couple of his best performances came against Javier Jauregui (who was coming off of two wins over a young JL Castillo) and Julio Alvarez...a close give and take slugfest. These idiots just don't realize how good Chavez was. It's too bad he got hurt against Julio Diaz.Comment

Yes, he gave an great performance WITH ONE ARM. He tore his rotator cuff in the second round of that fight and threw 95% of his punches from then on from only one side (I forget if it was his left or right he hurt). And he STILL had Morales looking like he fought 25 rounds with prime Tyson.Comment
