Hey $in, there's another thread for you right there...
Hatton has beaten opponents with something he wants and who were tough challengers. Urango was unbeaten, an unkwon quantity, and it took Hatton to end his unbeaten record. PBF since being P4p no1 in the world hasnt really picked phenomenal boxers to fight. Hatton would be a great opponent for PBF to beat and somehow its not on the radar for PBF. Hatton says he wants PBF and gets criticised for it, saying he ducked him after the kostya fight. I think Hatton even talking about it (even if he didnt want it) is music to my ears because i want to see good fights. There arent many of them nowadays.

Hatton says he wants lots of things.

      "Il give Collazo a rematch"

"I wanted to fight mayweather but he moved up before i had the chance"

"I'd love to fight junior Witter"

"Im as strong as ever at 147"

      and so on.

Hatton does say a lot and i wonder why he didnt fight COllazo again. Hatton could probably tell us why it didnt happen. And he probs was strong at 147. Or at least he felt strong, but just didnt have the stamina.
But if Hatton keeps mentioning PBF it wont upset me in the slightest because i still want to see that.

Hi Hugh, its Ricky Hatton here,

I didnt fight Collazo because i probably lost the first fight, im not comfortable with slick boxers and HBO cant afford to risk me losing in my 3 fight deal, or no one will wanna see me fight mayweather, if i ever pluck up the courage to fight him in his prime.

          Regards,

          Ricky Hatton.

You may have got it right there. Hatton wants PBF and dont want to risk it against Collazo or waste time. He nicked Collazos belt and was happy to have done that.
And i dont really think PBF will ever be out of his so called PRIME for Hatton to have any kind of advantage over PBF. Because PBF is only 2 years older and will always be only 2 years older than Hatton. With Hattons supposed bad lifestyle, that supposedly 2 years advantage for Hatton isnt really much of an advantage. So if the fight happens tomorrow or 3 years time i dont think it will make much different really.

I don't think Hatton is a highly skilled fighter like Jones, Calzaghe or Hopkins, although he has some boxing skills and is quick on his feet. I like him because he's an overachiever with lots of heart, courage and natural toughness. It's mainly because of his heart and toughness that he would beat anyone his own size.
yeah pretty much, based on P4P rankings or opinions of most. We don't have a top HW. Ring doesn't rate them top ten overall. I'm not talking top fighters of a division, I simply talking top fighters...

He always says he wants Floyd, but never comes thru. it just makes you want to slap the dookie out of the boy who cries wolf all the damn time. "Tough challengers", you don't believe that yourself.

We actually do have some top heavyweights, namely Wladimir Klitschko, Ruslan Chagaev, Lamon Brewster, Samuel Peter and Alexander Povetkin.
