I'm sorry but I'm the kind of people who don't jump easily in bandwagon. I feel you need to give Credit to Dana. Even tho he may represent a danger to our beloved boxing sport, you need to understand we need a promoter like him.

Like I said, the card entertained me from beginning to the end as promised. None of the fight were boring.

I wonder what's Dana thinking now after his beloved star gets KTFO. His biggest attraction didn't last long enough to make the UFC more hype.
He should not ask his fighters to fight with a boxer otherwise they'll get KTFO.

I think both sports are awesome!!! Dana should shut up and focus on his own sport!!! Boxing is in its own league when it comes to stand up!!! Kickboxing is to messy and ufc has to much grappling!!! Myself i like stand up!!! Vito v chuck wasnt to bad!!! Vito v Silva was the best mma ive seen!!!

You know that card wasn't so bad even if the main event was a bit of a washout. That's something I would like to see on boxing PPV cards. A mix of bouts. A four or a six rounder, a couple of tens and maybe an extra title fight before the main event. Give some exposure to new guys.

Liddell can't take a good punch at all, that was not even a hard punch, just imagine if he got hit by a pro boxer.

UFC 71 was the first MMA event I have seriously tried to watch. I've seen the occasional fights from UFC before and had never been that impressed, but I actually really enjoyed this event. The only fight I was not particularly excited by was the one which ended in a submission, although even that was interesting from a technical martial-arts point of view.

I can see how people might be attracted by events like this over boxing, but it is possible to be a fan of both. they are just different sports.

There have been some Pride cards in the past with 9 top fights ! Now Pride has been bought by the UFC, i doubt we will see such cards again, but it would be like seeing Calzaghe v Kessler, Cotto v Margarito and Mayweather v Pacquiao all on one fight card!

Some people really have to do some research before posting...

What I hate about boxers is that all they think is that boxing is the greatest fighting style ever and don't even credit other arts. MMA artist respect boxing but knows that it's not the only thing available.

Now I sound like a die hard MMA fan but all these non-sense i've been reading so far is far too ridiculous. Why can't people appreciate both sport whitout bashing the other?
