Why did he sign a 3 fight deal with HBO that specifically did not involve Floyd Mayweather if he really wanted to fight him/thought he could beat him.

Which 12 world champs? He hasn't even beaten 12 world title beltholders. He's beaten six. I'm not dis*****g that over the course of his career Mayweather has beaten better opposition than Hatton has, but let's not start inventing titles.

I think what he meant to say was that Floyd has beaten 12 current or former world champs.

PBF has more names on his CV and that is why he is p4p no1. But Hatton, even though has only one, Kostya was top 3 p4p rated, so i think Hatton gets xtra brownie points for that.
Before Hatton even beat Kostya, Hatton was creating excitement with the manner he was beating everyone put in front of him. So he was edging into the p4p ratings even b4 Kostya. With Castillo next in line...that is a quality opponent on his CV. Hatton dont always perform to his best in every fight, but at the end of the day people know the quality of opponent he is capable of beating when he does manage to perform.
