Do you think Corrales cheated in the Castillo fight?

I forget but didn't he spit his mouth piece out twice? I thought fights usually get stopped when boxers do **** like that since it means their gasping for air.

Depends on what you call "cheating", he decided to bend the rules like most fighters do.

In this case, his bending of the rules may have made a huge difference in the fight.

I consider it cheating, though most respect to him for coming back. But I believe that when a fighter needs to spit out their mouth piece it usually means their too tired to go on. I think fights should be stopped because its not fair to the other fighter when one figther decides to do that

thats why they take points away for it.

If you think thats dirty/cheating I wonder what you'de say about Hatton.Tzsyu.

It was cheating and the referee took sanctions against him by issuing a warning and taking points. I feel that if a downed fighter deliberately spits out his mouthpiece the count should continue meaning the fighter gets counted out and loses by KO instead of getting a few moments extra rest.

In the Tszyu / Hatton fight both fighters were warned for low blows, nothing else was called. I don't know why you would even bring it up. The Pavlik / Miranda fight is more pertinent to this particular issue.

Well, Corrales could have lost this fight if he didn't spit his mouth piece out. He obviously needed to breathe after getting dropped by Castillo. Taking points don't do **** in a fight, its robbing the other opponent. Same thing happened in the Miranda/Pavlik fight, the ref gave Miranda way too much time after Miranda cheated and spit his mouth piece out.

Spitting out your mouthpiece doesnt mean you got KO'd @ all and a bad rule...thats why its not.

Hatton.Tzsyu was alot more going on w/Hatton than low blows bruvah. Elbows, holding and hitting, head butts etc by Hatton. Now that cheating and DQ worthy.

I brought it up cuz its cheating...spitting a nouthpiece really isnt. You do it you pay on the scorecards.

I suppose its how different refs deal with issues differently that affects the outcome of fights more then how boxers bend the rules or cheat. I'd say Corrales did what he had to to win and the ref acted as he seen fair.
