I forget but didn't he spit his mouth piece out twice? I thought fights usually get stopped when boxers do **** like that since it means their gasping for air.

I consider it cheating, though most respect to him for coming back. But I believe that when a fighter needs to spit out their mouth piece it usually means their too tired to go on. I think fights should be stopped because its not fair to the other fighter when one figther decides to do thatLast edited by EliteSoldier; 05-24-2007, 05:05 PM.

It was cheating and the referee took sanctions against him by issuing a warning and taking points. I feel that if a downed fighter deliberately spits out his mouthpiece the count should continue meaning the fighter gets counted out and loses by KO instead of getting a few moments extra rest.
In the Tszyu / Hatton fight both fighters were warned for low blows, nothing else was called. I don't know why you would even bring it up. The Pavlik / Miranda fight is more pertinent to this particular issue.

Hatton.Tzsyu was alot more going on w/Hatton than low blows bruvah. Elbows, holding and hitting, head butts etc by Hatton. Now that cheating and DQ worthy.
I brought it up cuz its cheating...spitting a nouthpiece really isnt. You do it you pay on the scorecards.
