What boxing needs is to be handled better. The regular 8 and 10 ounces are fine. The fighters are still very good. The heavyweights are good if people would just see them. Thats why it pisses me off when the media says there is no heavyweight division. They dont know ****. Wlad could be a huge star if he were promoted right. He is knocking everyone out in his path recently.

Radio host Colin Coheard put it best I think. He said boxing is one of the most thrilling sports there is, but it is by far handled the poorest.

True, boxing is being hurt by the sanctioning bodies and promoters who don't make the best fight the best. It's really simple but too many people make too much money off the corruption in the sport so it's not going to change anytime soon if at all.

I think that is an old Hopkins quote. Recently, when asked about Liddell he said in standup he felt he could beat Chuck. When asked what would happen if it went to the ground, Hopkins said he(Hopkins) would be going to the hospital.

streetfights usually only used fists. sometimes kicks .. and also start with somebody getting sucker punched.

So true, plus I would like to add the little ****s that jump in, out numbering you 7-1, especially after you kick the **** out of their body.

But, I have seen some "Honorable" fights where it is agreed nobody jumps in, and the fight starts with a nod of each persons head.

And this is why I have always been in favor of Tito running his mouth about MMA fighters not being paid enough.


They need to stand up more and or start a Union.


How much do agents get in others sports like Baseball and Football, 1-3% around there. Yet "Promoters" get 33%, maybe more in some cases.

Do you know what a Promoter is? Somebody that puts asses in the seats.
Do you know who actually does this? The fighters.

Fighters should talk to the television companies themselves.
