Saying Taylor is more skilled than Marquez is ridiculous.

You don't think Taylor is more skilled then the guys I've mentioned??

Like I said if you want to go by skills which like we did back in the ol days, then no Taylor is not P4P #1, but we're not doing that anymore.

Some ****ers have the nerves to put Rafa at #1, a guy who's never beaten any top 10 P4P guys, a guy who only moved up once in his career in a fight which was stopped becuase of a broken nose.

Vazquez was stopped by Larios long before Rafa stopped him.

No it's not, a guy like Rafa will never beat a small version of Hopkins or Wright.

Taylor is more skilled then Rafa will ever be, and Rafa does not belong higher then 5 or 6.

            Oh ok.
I just think how good a fighter is should be based on a combination of both skills and accomplishments.

if it's strictly by skills and accomplishments, Taylor is easily #1. Taylor is more skilled than Wright and Pacquiao, but Wright's resume is the strongest of the bunch. I generally don't knock a guy down the list until he loses. Winky was my #2 until Mayweather retired, so now Winky inherits the throne on my list the same way Hopkins inherited when Roy got knocked out and Mayweather inherited when Hopkins lost to Taylor. But a Taylor victory over Wright WILL move him into #1. It's not hard to figure these things out, guys. act like you've watched sports before and understand rankings.

the case for Taylor being #1 is quite strong. I think right now it's almost an even race between Wright, Pacquiao, and Taylor, but longevity factors into this as well, and Wright has been on a big roll since fighting Mosley, so naturally he had more time to get where he is. Taylor being in the top 3 alone at his current point in his career is remarkable.

So what if the fight was stopped on a broken nose? Who do you think broke it? Thats a legit TKO. And Larios stopped Vasquez early in his career, and he avenged the loss. He was probably top 15 p4p in most lists before Marquez beat him. I dont think he deserves to be number 1 either, but hes more skilled than Taylor.

Good post Diego! Since Floyd is retired, I can't argue with anyone having Taylor, Wright or pac #1, but when you mention Rafa being #1 then we have a problem.

You're right. I shouldnt have put it like that because I dont think hes done more. I do think hes more skilled though. Taylor has beaten those guys, but hes never won in impressive fashion. Theres always questions after each fight. Marquez is knocking guys out. And they are good fighters, maybe not on Hopkins' or Winky's level, but good nonetheless.

So based on that I have Marquez ranked higher.
