Jermain Taylor is P4P #1 on my list

Since Floyd Mayweather is officially retired now, I moved Jermain Taylor to my #1 spot.

Here is Taylor's last 8 fights,

Cory Spinks - Ranked #1 champion 154 pounder by Ring Magazine
Kassim Ouma - Former ranked #1 champion 154 pounder
Winky Wright - Ranked P4P #2 by Ring Magaine
Bernard Hopkins - Ranked P4P #1 by Ring Magazine
Bernard Hopkins - Ranked P4P #1 by Ring magazine

Daniel Edouard - Undefeated Top 10 middleweight who knocked Willie Gibbs better then Miranda ever did.

William Joppy - Top 10 respected middlweight, former middleweight champ.

Raul Marquez - The first man to ever KO Raul Marquez was Taylor, another good fighter.

In his last 8 fights, Taylor has 7 wins and 1 draw against Winky Wright.

Oh yea mother fankers, I don't want to hear he's beaten smaller guys, it's only 6 pounds difference, **** any mother fanker can gain 6 pounds in one day.

I don't want to hear from the bitter Bitchnard fans, your man clearly lost, get over it mother fankers.

Winky Wright fans can still talk, because that was a draw, a fight that could've gone either way, I had no problem with a draw or a victory for Taylor or Wright, this is the only fight in Taylor's resume you can question that he either lost or won, I think the draw was good. Lets not forget Taylor tried to fight Wright twice, both times Wright turned him down, Wright turned 45% which was 5 million dollars. Don't blame Taylor for not trying to make the big fights.

great rapsheet at such a young age but to be #1 you gotta look good against elite competition at least sometimes. All of his big fights and defenses were soooooooo effin ugly. Yeah he's winning but i think he's losing fans quicker than he;s gaining them

No I disagree he hasn't had a great performance as of yet. I'll go with Winky or Pac man. Pac has kicked some ass of these few years.

            Calzaghe > Taylor

Joe Calzaghe is obviously better than Jermain Taylor. They both fought smaller opponents in their last fights, and look how different the results were. I've always kinda liked Taylor, but from what I saw Saturday night, he's not in the top five p4p.

eduard was a joke. joppy and marquez were mediocre fighters way way past their "primes". it doesnt matter who or what spinks and ouma are, it matters that taylor stuggled with both of them when he really shouldn't have. his 1st fight with hopkins was a fluke. ill give him the 2nd fight.

regardless of who you think won the wright fight, again the focus is on taylor. winky wright, the defensive expert with very little power, backed up taylor onto the ropes and taylor couldnt do anything when winky pressured him. ouma and wright are both blown up jr middleweights with little power and they easily pressured the much larger taylor into going on defense.

the spinks fight was just the latest example of how mediocre jermain taylor is. the money and status as champ has gone to his head. he'll lose to pavlik... assuming he has the balls to fight pavlik... which i doubt he does.

The difference was Joe was fighting a former TV reality star and Taylor was fight ing the 154 lb champion who was ranked #1 by Ring Magainze, also Spinks is a defensive fighter and Manfredo is not.
