      Hearns-Sharpe, Round 8

Last and final round (thank goodness). Hearns impressive skill-wise, but killer instinct not even within sneezing distance of his old man. Jabs, right hands, rinse and repeat for Hearns. Sharpe tough, taking shots in order to work his way inside. Lands uppercut, takes two to the body. Hearns hurting him everytime he goes downstairs, but not committing enough to a body attack to finish him off. Right hand for Hearns, Sharpe sneaks in a counter right. Right hand, big left hook and right hand that rings Sharpe's bell at the bell.

      Hearns 10-9, 80-72

      Official scores forthcoming.

He was scheduled to fight Ben Tackie in his last fight but Tackie pulled out I believe. That would have been a step up from what Berto has been dealing with thus far.

                  Berto-Clay, Round 2

Berto keeping Clay on his heels, stalking as he lets off jabs and rights. Brief clinch, fighters separated. Berto seemingly unfazed by Clay's power, stalking his opponent while giving him free shots (though nothing careless). Three punch combo dowstairs, Berto beginning to gauge his left hook to the body. Punishing jab by Berto, goes back downstairs (TAKE NOTES, RONALD HEARNS!). Left hook to body by Berto, who smiles and drops a right on Clay's chin. Right hand, brief clinch, Berto gets in right and left to the body at the bell.

                  Berto 10-9/20-18

                      Berto-Clay, Round 3

Berto overshoots with his right as Clay dips. Clay attempts right, Berto counters before Clay can launch. Both fighters trade jabs, Berto comes back with hard right hand. Clay goes on his bike. LEft hooks upstairs by Berto, Clay momentarily backing up far more than fighting back. Left to the body by Berto, who is nearly flawless through three rounds. Right hand upstairs, left to the body. Jab by Berto, Clay attempts to counter, eats a right and then an uppercut at the bell.

                      Berto 10-9/30-27
