Results from Ringside - Memphis, TN

I, Jake Donovan, humble staff member for BoxingScene.com, The Source For Boxing Online, shall submit updated results live from ringside.

First fight: Ray Smith UD4 Don Moulton
Little Rock-based light heavyweight Ray Smith (7-1, 2KO), stablemate of Jermain Taylor opened up the show with a workmanlike decision over Houston’s Don Mouton (2-2, 2KO). Scores were 40-36 and 39-37 (2x).

Second fight: Joell Godfrey SD6 DeLeon Tinsley
Heavyweight Joell Godfrey (7-0-1, 4KO) barely preserved his unbeaten record with a tougher-than-expected split decision win against DeLeon Tinsley (7-1-1, 5KO). Scores were 58-56, 58-57 Godfrey, and 58-57 Tinsley. Tinsley complained that he was “robbed for the second time.” The few who showed up early seemed to agree, as the official announcement was met with a spattering of boos.

Jose Navarro-Roberto Gomez up now, 8 round super bantamweight fight.

          Ah back in ball!!!

          Ira Terry UD6 Carlos Valdez
Local (Brighton, TN) unbeaten Ira Terry kept his 0 intact with a hard-earned but clear unanimous decision over Carlos Valdez (8-8, 2KO) Scores were 60-54 (2x) and 59-55 for Terry, who rolls to 15-0 (10KO). Bouncing back and forth between the super featherweight and lightweight division, “Mr. Showtime” is a talent to keep an eye on in the future.

tight. I knew it, if it's a body shot that knocked a guy down, I'd bet 70% of my wallet it was the liver punch.

also I haven't seen you around much, welcome to the scene. (tho I'm sure you've been welcomed already.)

Thank you sir, and no, haven't been welcomed yet. Rick keeps me chained up in the basement, and only lets me out for stuff like this.
