              Hearns-Sharpe, Round 3

It's all about Ronald's jab, as Sharpe unable to get inside when Hearns pumps it. Right, left right for Hearns, left hand blocked. Body shots by Hearns, drawing oohs and ahs, as does a left hook upstairs. Right uppercut for Hearns, lands a body shot, Sharpe wild with counter left hook. Sharpe throws two lazy jabs, both way off. Jab, left hook for Hearns. Right hand by Hearns taps Sharpe's chin. Left right by Hearns, left hand blocked, right gets through. Sharpe lands right, eats a forearm for his troubles. Right to the body by Hearns, left hook downstairs and up top as well. The two trade down the stretch, with Hearns landing three big rights.

                Hearns-Sharpe, Round 4

Slower 4th round after a dominant third, Hearns' best round thus far. Sharpe falling short with his jab as Hearns plays defense. Right hands for Hearns. Sharpe attempts to counter, falls short. Jab by Hearns, Sharpe gets a couple through in return. Hearns paws with his jab, attempting to set up a straight right. Sharpe not biting. Jab, right hand by Hearns, probably the highlight of an otherwise slow 4th.

                  Hearns-Sharpe, Round 5

Once again, they touch gloves to start the round. Sharpe attempting to become the aggressor, with minimal success. Sharpe sneaks in ajab, right hand. Hearns takes it well, but in a round where he's playing defense, it could prove to be the difference. Spoke too soon as Hearns comes back with 1-2 upstairs. Right to the body by Hearns. Double jab by Sharpe falls short. Low blow by Sharpe, goes unnoticed by Steve Smoger. Hearns wings "hookercut" while on the ropes, as well as right hand. Fight moves to center ring. Hearns lands a series of rights, draws reaction from crowd, which is beginning to fill up.

                      Round 7
More of the same. Hearns landing jabs and straight rights, Sharpe taking them but unable to do anything else. Hearns working the body, maintaining distance,as bout has become a monotonous affair. Right hand by Hearns as Sharpe rushing in. Jab, jab by Hearns. And again. And again. Jab, left hook by Hearns, Sharpe sneaks a right hand along the way. Right hand to the body by Hearns. Sharpe jabs, Hearns ducks and gets on his bike. Hearns slipping and sliding as Sharpe wings right, clips Hearns with accidental headbutt at the bell.
