What do you think of Andre Berto?

I think he is all hype and that he hasn't fought anyone half-way decent and wouldn't be surpised if people on this forum could jump into the ring and ko the competition he has fought. Personally, i think john duddy has taken on far better competition and both are still rising prospects in this sport.

I see Berto dominating the welterweight division sooner or later,hes got the IT factor about him,his speed is amazing,and so is his power,hes someone to get really excited about,he uses his jab nicely,thats his main weapon for setting his shots up,hes got his trademark uppercut,a devastating right hand,and a quik left hook,hes a great prospect,alot of people i talk to love him,there not even serious boxing fans but they always watch him

I would'nt go as far to say he is a "great" fighter as the only positive choice you offered says but he is a good up and coming young fighter who I believe has a gright future......get on 29-0 JCC jr if you want to ***** about someone running up their record.**** Hatton did'nt fight anyone till he was past 30-0.

I don't think I'm gonna call him a great boxer, but I don't agree with any other of your statements. His punches are a lot sharper than Jeff Lacy's and his hand speed is a lot better. Also, Andre Berto has a very good jab. Lacy did not have a world class jab, this makes a big difference.

The physical skills are there for Berto. We can only figure out the extent of his boxing skills as well as his toughness and smarts when he is tested. He is a good prospect no doubt.

btw, anyone heard of juan manuel lopez???....hes another very good young prospect. i saw him on an undercard of the cotto - urkal fight.

taking on a guys who have 20 losses(he fought like two or three dudes with more then 20 losses) is not good even if you are a prospect!!! WTF is that ****? He showed all this skill, and knocks out bums. His management team protects their fighter too much
