The writer is an idiot. this is for legacy. certain Ws on your record mean more than a toy belt. A win for B-Hop cements his legacy was one of the best ever. A win for Winky cements his status as one of the two top or top p4p fighter today.

Hell if B-Hop gets this W, it does more for his legacy than beating tarver.

I very much look forward to this fight. It is very interesting from a strategic perspective. It is also possible that Hopkins is just too big for Winky and can hurt him, but Taylor couldn't so that is doubtful. Hopkins will have to be really active to win this fight on the cards, and he usually isn't. Winky 8 rounds to 4, UD.

no it doesn't winky has no great defeats that hopkins doesn't.... and tarver beat RJJ + b-hop was a 3 to 1 underdog for tarver... b-hop is to small, b-hop just fought WW... in a way b-hop avenged the RJJ loss... RJJ wouldn't and won't fight him so Tarver might have been the biggest win in his career IMHO

This will be one of the most technical fights that we've seen... sadly... people dont want to see that... and Winky isnt as big of a name as De La Hoya or Mayweather...

Hopkins had to attack in the Taylor rematch. The basis of his whole loss to him originally was because he did not do enough and he did even less in the rematch.

Legacy?? Hopkins doesnt need a Winky win for a legacy and what does beating a 42-year-old Hopkins really do for Winky. Winky fighting ten-pounds above 160 against Hopkins who will weigh around 180 come fight night.

Hopkins has been selling the same line "if you cant beat a 42-year-old man you should retire." If Winky loses, he will retire and Hopkins is selling this as if it's his last fight.

I think it's going to be worse than De La Hoya-Mayweather in terms of action, far worse and far less crowd reaction to anything. I see boos in every round.

why is hopkins hanging around? He must have enough money to retire, but he sure does not need to cement his legacy....anything he does from now on will just tarnish him....he's one of the all time greats...he should retire as theres nothing left for him to do.
