He's two inches taller and has a slight reach advantage, but Hatton weight drains to fight at 140 lbs and steps into the ring at 150 lbs, Mayweather had to bulk up to 148 lbs to fight in De La Hoya's weight class. He's a smaller man with a smaller frame, always has been. Aside from the fact that Mayweather has had more fights at over 140 lbs than Hatton (more than half of which were against former sub-140 fighters), Mayweather's elusive style means that he's always going to find it easier to move up in weight. Hatton's style involves soldiering through being punched, not avoiding everything, so a size disadvantage can be huge. Hatton doesnt have FLoyd's skill, but Floyd doesn't have Hatton's unique gifts either.

Collazo is bigger than Mayweather and bigger than Hatton. Collazo started his career at Jr Middleweight. Hatton did spend most of the fight crowding and bullying Collazo, which is how he won the fight.
