Yo "Techincal Skills" Cotto called Floyd out 3 years ago! I have yet to see Floyd's face on that. Yes, Tito could hurt Cotto...but right now, Cotto is an up and comer...Tito is shot. Floyd is terrified. I bet you believe everything Floyd says. Cotto is too green?? hahahaha Check Floyds face when Cotto breaks somebody else's face or breaks their ***n Shoulder with a punch! Floyd is nervous...maybe a PR kid ****ed him up in fourth grade and he never got over it. I smell *****.

I don't think Mayweather fears Cotto at all. But I do hope they fight I think it would be a really interesting style match up. I am no Mayweather fan but honestly Cotto looked terrified at the Gatti fight. Maybe it had nothing to do with the fight and they just caught him on camera at a bad moment but if you ever get a chance to watch it again I think you can palpably see fear in his face. Cotto does struggle against slick boxers more than any other kind of fighter and if Malignaggi gave him a fight then Mayweather gives him an L.

I think DLH was in amazing shape for this stage of his career. No i dont think Cotto would hav beaten DLH but with Cotto we dont really know what he is capable of. There is a lot of hype for Cotto, and he is an unknow quantity at the moment. But he could do great things in the future.

with that said, how you can you say there arent too many people on PBF's resume that are better than cotto, when Cotto is about as accomplished as zab judah with the exception that Cotto has never been linear champ

I would be very happy to see Floyd take on a few top welter names. I think that is his best path for silencing critics. Tito is a poor choice and brings very little except $$$ to the table.
If Floyd wants to play big boys he should take on Winky at 154.
I think Floyd can beat most welters but suspect he will be tested properly by them. He needs to take a fight where he isn't the huge favorite and I don't mean by going up in weight. He needs to take on challenging fighters like earlier in his career. Clean out the welters and I will be thoroughly impressed.

I think Cotto's resume is a bit underrated although I don't think he even comes close to qualifying as the best opponent Mayweather ever would have faced. Quintana, Malignaggi, Pinto, Ndou, Corley, Sosa... if he ends up beating Judah his resume will look nice...dare I say better than Judah's (Millet, Pineda, Spinks, Corley, Witter).

Comparing Gatti to Cotto is a joke. Someone on this topic said that Cotto was afraid when he saw Mayweather brawl/beat the living **** out of Gatti. Mayweather would never brawl with cotto, he'd hit and run to win that fight. Cottos not punching bag, he will hit you back if floyd brawls with him.

That is EXTREMELY inaccurate. Wrong. Just so wrong.

Where did you get that information? Jeez.

That would be me. And he did look scared...really scared. On the other hand I did not say that he was anything like Gatti in skill, style, or outcome of the fight. I agree with you Mayweather would stick and move...the outcome of trading with Cotto isn't a good proposition for anybody. And yes Cotto would be much more competitive but I still think he loses...he struggles against good technical boxers...check out the fight with Malignaggi.

3 years ago? Was that after he beat Kelson Pinto or Randall Bailey? Maybe after he beat Lovemore N'Dou? C'mon, there is no way Cotto would've been dumb enough to call Floyd out at that point. Besides, how often do you hear Cotto say anything? Arum does most of his talking.
