It's like this. Floyd Mayweathers boring style can be compared to Softcore ****, it's boring but you can still watch it for the hell of it. But for freaks, we like hardcore **** which can be compared to agressive boxers.

They did not want any engagement for the entire round. Mayweather (imo) moves selectively and just fights when he wants to...that is called controlling the pace of the fight. I understand it may not be the pace you most enjoy but give the guy a little credit.

I agre with everything everybody says about floyd, it is totally legal and well done, but you ****ed your post saying winky ran from taylor in the last round...

you guys must hate Bernard then...
Hopkins is my fav. boxer all time, and he would only throw like 8 punches a round sometimes.

Its dude's strategy, and he is undefeated, and the best boxer in the world right now.

Plus he'll be in a lot better shape than a lot of other boxers later in life.

I like Hopkins, he is a good person and floyds not. Hopkins tries to help out philadelphia, while floyd is really a complete ******* who tries to make himself out to be a good guy by giving little donations to charities and such.

That right there shows EXACTLY how little you know about Floyd at all.

I wouldnt call floyds boxing endeavors "fights". What he does is perfectly legal and works, but boxing is supposed to be entertaining above all else, and in that regard he fails half the time.

Bernard Hopkins actually robbed people of their hard-earned money on the street. Does giving some money to charity once he makes millions make up for that? I dunno.

Floyd never stole money from people.

his speed grants him that though, his speed is hands down what makes him what he is. i mean, rarely can you see a guy adjust for a punch after runnin backwards.

cant blame those kind of fighters though, sweet pea lost his fight to oscar, than after that fight he felt like judges wanted to see brawls and not that pitty pat potshot stuff where you run away and throw ONE soft fast punch...he ended abandoning his style, tried to go at it with trinidad and ended up gettin tore up from the kneck up.

fighters that are good at runnin and potshottin, lol they shouldnt really abandon that style. or they'll end up like a sweet pea when he fought trinidad. its just that type of style, can put a fan to sleep if the guy he's fightin is a elite fighter that cant be fully exploited by the runaway/potshot.

I thought Oscar won the fight, but to be honest I didnt see any of this "running" people are talking about. What I saw was a lack of desire to throw more than 2 punches in a row in fear of retribution, and innacurate 1-2's at that.

Floyd is an excellent defender, but in most fights he also shows good striking ability. Oscar's defense, even though the punchstat idiots blindly ignored it, was impeccable for much of the fight. Floyd was actually landing shots late, a sure sign that oscar did not have the energy to keep the D up any longer. The question then would be, why didnt floyd execute part B of the plan after tiring Oscar out, much like he did to Zab Judah etc, and turn it on late on the burned out fighter?

Floyd doesnt have the killer instinct needed to back the trash talk up(though he could finish at lower weights...it might be a fear issue i dunno).
