De La Hoya showed he still has alot to offer boxing, you people cant have it both ways, before the fight quite a few people had oscar to knock floyd out because he was the bigger man, after Oscar knocked out mayorga it was

'If oscar hits floyd clean, floyd's out'

Oscar got floyd clean several times in that fight and mayweather took it like a man and dished it back out.

Quite a few fighters themselves had oscar to win for the same reason, but because floyd won the fight Oscar is way past it?

How does losing to the best fighter in the world make you totally shot, especially when you give him one of his hardest fights?

Personally, i think Floyd is a ***** for not fighting Klitschko, if he says he is the best fighter in the world, he gotta go to heavyweight and prove it, and even if he won, Klitschko lost to brewster anyways and was past it so it doesnt matter.

So he should fight mosley, but moesly is old and lost twice to winky and forrest, mayweather dont wanna fight no one in their prime. he's a *****.

So he should fight cotto, but cotto only beat Judah (who mayweather already beat) and Paulie M, he was never that good anyways.

I called floyd out the other day on this forum, and wont fight me, hes a *****, so here's my message to mayweather.

Floyd, come and fight me, winner gets 8 million, it doesnt matter that i havent boxed before and that you will lose 8 million in PPV revenue cos no one will buy the fight, forget money, fight me.

If you dont fight me, floyd you are a ***** and therefore i declare myself the most ducked man in boxing and the real number one p4p in the world.

    It never ends.

DLH never hit PBF clean, aside from one punch that his literally in the last 15 seconds of the fight. Look closely, the only solid punches really landing are jabs. The bodyshots (seconds most important punch for DLH) were ****. It as if he doesn't know how to throw B-shots when the opponent is on the ropes. Pitiful.

And if PBF wanted to shut some people up, he should've fought Margarito, back when he had the hype. Oh, the amount of PBF haters that would've looked foolish. Would've been awesome.

If De La Hoya had been more active the last three years, and was three or four years younger, there's no way PBF would have won. In fact, DLH would have won by KO.

I think u need to watch the fight again, mayweather was caught flush by DLH several times in the fight, especially in rounds 11 and 12, and in one of of the early rounds.

Yeah we would have looked foolish alright, coming to margarito's funeral not dressed in black, what were we thinking?

The Ring had him listed as pound-for-pound #1 in 1997, although many disagreed with that ranking. The Ring also had an article that year which stated De La Hoya would've outpointed Leonard and KO'd Hearns. They were really on Oscar's jock in 1997.
