So Lennox Lewis has got me thinking....

Vitali has potential but his style worries me once he fights a good boxer....

I have one major problem with Vitali, and it has nothing to do with actual talent. I have this scene that runs though my head automatically every time I hear his name, and I just cant get rid of it. Remember when he lost to Lewis? While everybody was still in the ring, etc. he kept throwing a fit cause they stopped the fight (like, his eyeball was about to fall out of his head!!) and Wlad entered the ring (to make matters worse) and they kept going over to Lewis' corner carrying on and on to the point where I tought they were gonna 'jump him' or something. It was crazy; like they blamed him for it getting stopped (technically it was his fault..that big right hand of his). It just made me sick, and as unfair as it is, no matter how long ago it happened I just cant get that scene out of my head!! And I KNOW they damn sure werent going over there to congradulate him

Exactly...he has so many of the intangibles but once he fights a skilled, tough boxer I think he's gonna get ****canned.

I agree completely, nice post, I see you live in Tennessee, I work alot of fight in Memphis, I have a fight there on Nov.6th as a matter of fact. let me know if you can make it and I will put you ringside...

blokes got a heart eh size of a lion. he willneed it though and Danny has always beena fave of mine nit just since beating tyson, bloke has always had the class but not always the mental strength he seems to have found of late.

he probably just got caught up in the moment, being a late substitue with the chance of a lifetime, getting in there and proving all the critics (minus the klitschko fans) wrong by winning the fight until it was stopped, it was probably heartbreaking. Vitali went to Lewis to ask for a rematch, which LL obliged to, only to retire later obviously. Who wants to BE retired when they can just say "**** you, im done." what was sick was the way Lewis got all macho during the interview afterwards talking about Vitali was starting to fade, LL's ego must not have told him that at the end of the last round, he practically fell on his stool and looked like he couldnt stand back up.

As much as I appreciate the offer to be ringside I most likely will either be in surgery or recovering from it around that time. If at any other time you make such an offer be sure that I will jump on it! Thanks a hell of a lot; I appreciate that very much!!

If Williams beat's the champ, then he is the champ. Not that I consider Vitali the champ in the first place. The heavy wt. division is a complete joke and hopefully within the next few yr's some of the younger generation will be ready to step up and make it a more exciting division...one can ONLY hope!!

Okay, according to the "way it works" (with the belts) and all the rating's, etc...Vitali is the champ. therefore if Williams beat him he would become the champ.
Okay, here comes the tricky part (dont hate me)..I have trouble recognizing Vitali as the 'true' champ cause I think he got that title by what I would call "default". If he had beaten Lennox (the REAL champ) and God know's he tried to get a rematch..I know, I know, but I guess since all he had to do was fight for the title that had basically 'come up for grabs' (agaqinst a golfer, no less) I stumble around that a little. Is that fair? Absolutely not. Can I help feeling that way? I'm sorry, no. Does that make sense at all? Feel free to say "no, you ****** idiot, you cant have it both ways"...I'll understand.

Did i clear it up any? Believe me, I would have trouble recognizing Williams as a real champ too. I was just saying that if he beat Vitali, which I doubt, he would by right's be the new champ.
