It could get interesting, but both sides have an 'out'. If Cintron wins, UFC can say that he was not just a boxer, but a wrestler too. If he loses, Cintron can say that he fought under their rules.
If he gets a little submission training and works off the rust on his wrestling, he has a better chance than Floyd would have in my opinion.

this is great news, even tho Cintron hasnt done much in boxing, for him to go to UFC and win a fight would be huge for boxing, however I feel that Dana White also needs to send over Chuck Lidell to face a champion boxer and fight only under boxing rules, it would only be fair, heck lets have it on PPV all in one night.

the problem is sherk (the UFC guy Cintron would likely face) is all based off takedowns and throwing the opponent on the ground ..if Cintron gets taken down, his boxing skills wont be able to help him

I dont think the UFC has an out. There whole thing was that boxers are one demensional, so if one of our guys shows that he's not then I dont think thats an out. That shows what kind of complete guys we have. That shows that even though Cintron could be a star in the UFC, he'd rather be in a harder sport which is boxing. That would be like Liddel coming over and beating one of our boxers but we say its not fair because he boxes alot even in the UFC. ****, Dana White himself is a former boxer

well, cintron doesnt have the overwhelming hands that some assume a boxer would need to take down an MMA guy, but he has the wrestling background.

That would be a huge event,Cintron could knock him out with 1 punch, hes got alot of power, imagine Cintron won,he'd be a star in boxing,UFC fans would watch him also

Dana only wanted Mayweather for the exposure, the only Kermit Joe Average knows is the frog, this won’t materialize.
