I thought you meant he was fighting Dana White lol.

I hope Cintron wins. Then I'd like to see a UFC guy step in the boxing ring.

Well both Bas Rutten and Frank Trigg are bald. Trigg is darker complected and younger. Bas is actually over 40. Also Bas has a Dutch accent.

Bas is legend in MMA, a true badass.

Trigg is about a B-level fighter, IMO. If it is Trigg who said that I have to laugh. He was utterly EMBARRASSED by St Pierre on the ground and St Pierre was only a purple belt in BJJ. I actually felt sorry for Trigg in that fight it was so bad.

Why? Is developing a decent sprawl really that hard? Nope, it’s one of the easiest thing to learn in MMA.. Jesus ****ing Christ, CroCop came into the sport with nothing but kicks and punches and dominated.

Exactly, KICKS and punches, and what's CC known for? HIGH KICKS, not just punches. He also didn't start to dominate right out of the gate. CC has been competing in MMA for about 6yrs now, so he's not some newb. He also had to adapt and blend his techniques so that they worked well in MMA. The debate isn't how well boxing works in MMA, as we all know it works well. I mean, that's why it's part of the core training. It's all hybrid though. No art in it's traditional sense works well when you start allowing other ways to defeat your opponent. This goes for BJJ, wrestling, MT, Judo, etc. There's a lot more to it then just being able to sprawl, especially against guys who are ready for that tactic...particularly good wrestlers like Sherk.

Having a good sprawl is not just knowing how to sprawl, it's the timing of it too. If you sprawl too late, you get taken down. If you sprawl too early you are under your opponent and face down.

And CroCop did not dominate when he first entered MMA. He is also a blue belt in BJJ, I think he trains under a BJJ black belt too.
